On the roads of Albania, 69 road accidents occurred only during the month of April. As a result, 94 people were injured and some of them lost their lives.

According to the report of the Institute of Statistics, the cause of accidents in 87% is the fault of the way of driving.

Young drivers continue to account for the majority of accidents. According to the data, the 18-24 age group accounts for 24.6% of the cases that caused a road accident.

The capital is in the top of the list for the highest number of accidents. Experts have pointed out that most accidents happen on weekends and mainly at noon.

According to the Institute of Statistics report, in the first 4 months of the year, 332 road accidents were registered in which 454 people were involved.

Experts have highlighted that the number of road accidents in the January-April period has decreased by 11.9%, compared to the same period of 2022.

Meanwhile, road accidents as a result of pedestrian behavior for the four-month period have increased by 20%.
