The Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz has congratulated PM Edi Rama on his win for the April 25th elections.
“Congratulations to Edi Rama on winning the parliamentary elections again,” wrote Kurz, in his Twitter post.
He continued by saying that “Austria looks forward to further fostering our strong bilateral relations with you and all political forces in Albania, to fighting the COVID 19 pandemic together and to supporting Albania’s EU perspective to enable it to enter the next stage of the accession process”.
In April 25th elections, the Socialist Party received 48.66% of votes, the Democratic Party, 39.41%, SMI 6.81% and the Social-Democratic Party 2.25%.
In addition, the other parties in the race weren’t able to receive any parliamentary mandates.
