The leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha called the parliamentary polls “an electoral massacre” as he spoke to the media outside the party’s headquarters.
“April 25 was an electoral massacre, whose victim is not the Democratic Party and our MPs, the result speaks clearly. The trust, and hope that we awoke, despite the unprecedented role of organized crime and dirty money, and as the preliminary OSCE/ODIHR report stated, the melting lines that divide the party with the state, were not able to diminish or decrease the proportions of the united Albanians”, said Basha.
Basha said that the Democrats are currently gathering evidence to prove the electoral fraud.

“As we proceed with gathering and evidencing the manipulation of the electoral massacre on April 25, all cameras and microphones of free media outlets must make legitimate questions, and the authors of this massacre are Rama, Doshi, and Rakipi”, said the leader of the Democrats.
He also launched a series of accusations against several Socialist candidates that secured a parliamentary seat, allegedly through their ties with organized crime.
“How did the 3 candidates of Tom Doshi, blacklisted from the State Department, receive their votes? How did Vangjush Dako get the votes, who is on a blacklist from the State Department together with Jurges Çyrbja, Plarent Dervishi, and Rrahman Rraja of the cocaine cartel? How did Aqif Rakipi’s son and his son-in-law win the votes, one of the most notorious criminal families of Peqin? How did Aurora Mare, a relative of the internationally wanted Gent Mara, win the mandates?”, said Basha during his word.
