The leader of DP, Lulzim Basha held a meeting today in the headquarters of the Democratic Party, with the winning candidates of his coalition in the April 25th general elections, during which he thanked them for their work and commitment during the campaign. The group met in order to discuss the next steps needed to be taken by the opposition in regards to the aftermath of the elections.
According to Basha, DP’s campaign isn’t over yet, calling on all winning candidates to join him in continuing the work on the ground.
“Our campaign isn’t over; it continues with maximal energy. I will be meeting with people on the ground, to thank them, to speak with them, to listen to them, and I’m asking you to join me in doing the same, in the days to come,” stated the Chair of DP.
Basha raised accusations over vote-theft against Rama and Doshi and added that DP has brought great achievements for Albania as well as for the Democratic Party.
“Despite the greatest vote theft in the history of Albania, perpetrated by Rama-Doshi, we brought a great achievement for our party and for our country,” stated Basha.
Lulzim Bashi presented the winning candidates, with the work conducted by DP’s group of legal experts, which is being drafted into a single file that will be deposited to SPAK and sent to OSCE/ODIHR. Meanwhile, a copy of the case file will be sent to all European chancellors, in order to prove what Basha calls, ‘’all the violations taking place during the electoral campaign”.
