For several days, Albania has seen a considerable drop in daily positive infections with COVID-19. In the past 24 hours, out of 2 818 tests, 91 people came out positive with the coronavirus.

Despite the decline in infections, the virus is still claiming people’s lives. Three patients in ages varying from 52-83 years old have passed away during the last 24 hours in our country, bringing the total number of fatalities from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic in Albania to 2 406.

At the moment, the COVID designated hospitals are treating a total of 111 patients, 17 of whom in intensive care and 6 intubated.

In the last 24 hours, 894 patients have fortunately recovered. In the entire country, remain more than 14 thousand active cases, where the most affected district is Tirana with over 12 thousand active infections.
