The PM of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev will be in Brussels today to meet with leaders of the European Commission.
He has declared the Skopje has fulfilled all conditions, pertaining to the matter of the accession of negotiations with the European Union.
“Now it is time for EU to give its message, without delays, because every other judgment would mine the trust of EU for the entire Western Balkans,” – stated Zaev.
The Macedonian Prime Minister will be meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, the president of the European Parliament David Sassoli, the High Representative of EU for Foreign Politics and Security, Josep Borrell, the deputy executive director of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans as well as the commissioner of the EU for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Verhelyi.
During these meetings with high officials of the EU, the main topics of discussion are expected to include the process of North Macedonia’s membership to the European Union, the Bulgarian veto, as well as the recent declaration of Commissioner’s Varhelyi about the possibility of Skopje and Tirana partying ways in their accession process in the EU through participating separately in their first Intergovernmental Conference (IGC), this upcoming June.
In Brussels, Zaev is being accompanied by his Deputy Prime minster Nikolla Dimitrov and his MFA, Bujar Osmani.
