Journalist Mentor Kika explained on Ilva Now how the Democratic Party should act from now on, in order to receive a better result in the next elections.
Kikia said that DP should step on the ground right now, in order to prepare for the next elections, as well as find a leader and organizational structure, which will be able to face the Socialist Party.
“If we say that SP needs to be defeated with spirit, I believe that in these elections, DP had more spirit than actual calculations. DP needs to step on the ground starting from right now, in order to prepare for the next elections, not two months before election day. DP needs to find a leader and an organizational structure that can face the SP,” said Kikia.
Kikia also said that in Albania, the Democratic Party is expected to be a model of democracy. However, said Kikia, at a place where according to him democracy is still not at the right level, a party can not represent a model of democracy.
“We are asking DP to be the school of democracy in Europe. We are asking DP to be a model of democracy, but we cannot have these expectations; a single party cannot be a model of democracy, in a society that is itself flawed when it comes to democracy,” said Kikia.
