During a visit to Shkodra, the leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha accused Tom Doshi that “his people kidnapped a young man in the presence of an ambassador as he denounced the vote-purchasing” phenomenon.

Basha claims that PM Rama is “hiding a persona non-grata by the US” behind the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

“As Shkodra like all Albania knows, there is no SDP. It is a joint enterprise of Edi Rama and Tom Doshi to hide behind that brand a persona non-grata by the United States”, said Basha, adding that all three winning candidates that ran under the party’s banner were in fact holding directorate posts at the Socialist Party.

“There is no SDP, nor SP, but a Rama-Doshi regime that bought off the poverty that has swept all Albanian families”, Basha added.

“In fact, the unthinkable occurred here in Shkodra, where for the first time in 30 years Tom Doshi and his gang forced a Western ambassador to leave and abandon a meeting after kidnapping a young man who dared to stand up and say: Tom Doshi is buying votes here”, concluded the leader of the Democratic Party.
