Today, the PM of Kosovo, Albin Kurti met with the head of the EAST STRATCOM Task Force at the European External Action Services, Giles Protman, who has been a key figure in providing Kosovo with the support of the British government, especially in the fields of security and the rule of law.

While thanking Portman for the continued help and support that the British state has shown Kosovo, Kurti said that his administration is committed in strengthening the bilateral relations with Great Britain even further. Kurti continued by expressing his special gratitude in Great Britain’s help in lobbying for many states’ recognition of the Republic of Kosovo and asked for a continued partnership in the attainment of more future recognitions.

Other key topics discussed during the meeting were the economic development of Kosovo, preparations for the dialogue process, the current conditions during the pandemic and the preventive measures that have been implemented to keep the spread of COVID-19 at bay, as well as the country’s economic recovery.

Portman stressed the fact that now that Britain is out of the EU, the opportunities for consolidation of their bilateral collaboration have increased further.

Both parties spoke on the need for new investments, which will lead to more jobs, especially for the youth.
