PM Albin Kurti is expected to meet with the leader of the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku.
They are set to meet at 11:00 a.m. in the government building of Kosovo.
The meeting was called by PM Kurti, with the intention of discussing matters that pertain to the national interest, something which echoes Kurti’s recent views especially regarding Kosovo’s dialogue with Serbia, when on several occasions he has stressed that no discussions will commence prior to his consultation with the country’s opposition leaders.
The head of state has initially met with the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, this Monday during which, PM Kurti informed Haradinaj on his recent meetings with the high representatives of the EU in Brussels as well as the preparations for the dialogue with Serbia.
While Haradinaj asked for greater involvement of the United State in this dialogue in addition to the European Union, he also vowed AAK’s full willingness in collaborating with the government on matters of national interest.
The PM of Kosovo has also sent an invitation to the Democratic Party of Kosovo, but this meeting was refused, by the current executive leader of the party, Enver Hoxhaj.
