As the citizens eye the upcoming address of the Technical Experts Committee, tasked to periodically review pandemic-related measures, sources told Euronews Albania that a ban on music after 8 PM will be lifted.
Sources also confirm that the penalty for driving after curfew will be reduced to 30 days, as opposed to the current measure which is 3 years.
Meanwhile, a measure for those who’ve had their driver’s license suspended for driving after curfew is set to be reversed, if 30 days have passed from the time of the occurrence.
On Tuesday, it was health minister Ogerta Manastirliu who announced that the Technical Experts Committee will address the public on Thursday to suggest relaxing restrictions.
Daily new infections and fatalities have seen a steady decline in the past weeks, while active infections have dropped to below 900.
Albania has recorded over 132.000 coronavirus cases from the beginning of the pandemic. The official death toll is 2.447, according to a tally kept by health authorities.
