The President of the Republic of Kosovo conveyed supportive messages to the soldiers of the Kosovo Security Forces (FSK), participating at the US-led military exercises Defender Europe 21.
Osmani said that Kosovo’s willingness to strengthen strategic partnership with Western allies is “unwavering”.
“22 years ago, women and men from Kosovo, guided by ideals of freedom joined the Kosovo Liberation Army attesting our determination to win liberty”, said Osmani. “Today, 22 years after, we, their children, decked with ideals of securing peace and stability for ourselves and the others, have linked our objectives with the commitment of our strategic partner, the United States, to secure freedom and guarantee it”.
The president’s address in front of thousands of FSK soldiers came after she attended several military drills.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti was also at the ceremony where he vowed support as well as increasing the budget for the army.
“I am certain that after these exercises, Kosovo’s Security Forces, have gained new military skills and I would like to praise you for your achievement and assure that my administration will continue to support you and increase the budget of the Kosovo Security Forces. Our people want and welcome peace. Our state is a factor and contributor of peace”, Kurti declared.
