For the past week, Albania has been heading towards significant improvement in terms of daily new infections and fatalities.
On Friday, 21 citizens tested positive to the virus, after conducting over 2.800. Furthermore, after two days in a row without any coronavirus-related deaths, authorities reported the death of a 77-year-old from Tirana.
Currently, there are 41 patients receiving medical treatment at the hospital, of which 6 in the ICU.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 129,097 have recovered from the virus.
Taking into account the improved epidemiological situation, the Technical Committee of Experts decided to relax some of the restrictions starting from June 1. Accordingly, protective masks will no longer be mandatory in outdoor spaces, while curfew was extended to 11 PM – 6 AM.
