Tirana’s District Court ruled on the release of the two air traffic controllers of Albcontrol, Armando Fezga and Muhin Mezini, who were being kept on house arrest.

They were arrested due to allegations of abuse of power, after boycotting their work schedule, a situation which also resulted in the suspension of all flights to and from the Rinas International Airport.

Earlier, Tirana’s District Court sentenced Armando FEzga and Muhin Mezini to prison, while giving a house arrest ruling for Flora Ndreca. On April 27th, all three air controllers went before the Court of Appeals, where they asked for a more lenient security measure.
