Albania has just received another batch of 40.800 vaccines delivered through the COVAX mechanism.
It was Prime Minister Edi Rama that confirmed the new vaccine supply, adding that so far the country has received nearly 900.000 vaccine doses.
“We’re determined in finalizing our national vaccination plan, to protect the lives and health of every citizen”, said PM Rama.
The country has administered an estimated 780.342 vaccine doses, according to Our World in Data, with 16.93% of the population having received at least a dose.
From the beginning of the pandemic, more than 132,300 citizens have tested positive, while the virus has claimed the lives of 2.451.
