Today, the Special Envoy of the European Union for the dialogue Kosovo-Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak met with the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selakovic in Belgrade.
Through a post on his private Twitter account, Lajcak stated that the focal point discussed during this meeting was the dialogue Kosovo-Serbia, and according to him it was a useful and very constructive exchange.
“Started my visit to Belgrade by meeting with Foreign Minister Selakovic for the first time. We had a useful and constructive discussion about the Dialogue and its importance for Serbia’s EU future,” wrote Lajcak.
During the meeting, the Deputy US Secretary of State, Matthew Palmer was also present, who was accompanying Lajcak for the first time, during a visit in the Western Balkans.
The two Special Envoys are also set to meet the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, with whom they will be discussing about the upcoming meeting expected to take place in Brussels amongst Prishtina and Belgrade.
