Albanian citizens living in the Presheva Valley are seeking to be physically part of the dialogue between Kosovo-Serbia too, in order to present their demands.
Representatives of Presheva, Bujanc and Medvegjë say that it is senseless to discuss with Serbia about the normalization of relations, without including the Presheva Valley.
“It is dangerous, the idea of deciding the fate of the Valley without the inclusion or the will of the Valley’s citizens,” stated the Chair of the Commune of Presheva, Ardita Sinani.
Sinani’s comments are referring to the earlier reports insinuating that Kosovo and Serbia could be reaching a deal that might include an exchange of territories, according to which, Kosovo would give Serbia some territories in the north, inhabited by a Serbian majority and take the Valley of Presheva, with an Albanian majority, in return.
Sinani says that their “permanent request remains the same, and that is Kosovo’s unification.”
