The Electoral College rejected the Democratic Party’s request to include new evidence in the assessment of their lawsuit regarding the results and elections in the county of Tirana.

Meanwhile, the College also overturned the lawsuits of independent candidate Boiken Abazi also concerning the county of Tirana.

These cases were passed to the Electoral College by the Commission of Appeals and Sanctions (CAS), which decided to reject the appeals of DP, SMI and candidate Bojken Abazi regarding the county of Tirana, asking for the invalidation of the results of April 25^th’s general elections and the repeat of the voting process.

In addition, this judicial institution also rejected DP’s request to disbar and replace the 7 judges, from the evaluative process of their lawsuits concerning the electoral result of April 25^th.
