The Director of the Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic has said that Serbia is absolutely ready to continue its dialogue with Kosovo, but mutual recognition isn’t a topic for discussion at all.
A statement for the press from the office of Petkovic states that “Albanian politicians, through the threatening message that the only result of the dialogue between Belgrade and Prishtina is to be reciprocal recognition, directly proved that they aren’t interested in a dialogue and agreement,”.
“Instead of lying to their public and sabotaging the dialogue on a daily basis, they should just accept that they aren’t interested in building peace and stability, but in protecting the stale conflict and daily tensions on the ground, which unfortunately are a threat that furthers tensions and the gap that already exists between the nations in the territory of Kosovo,” stated their media statement.
