Yesterday, the Special Commission of Appeals (KPA) discharged prosecutor Anton Martini, who was also a candidate for the Special Prosecution Anti-Corruption (SPAK). His dismissal was linked to issues with his wealth.

Martini reacted by saying that he had been expecting this decision because he had received information that “many efforts were being made against him, in a camouflaged way”.

“Yesterday, the state gave me and my family a “death sentence”, in a totally unjust and treacherous way. The state I worked for, for 23 years in a row, by trying to protect and never violate, not even for a second, the trust of my citizens,” stated the former prosecutor.

According to him, the legal battle will continue until justice is put in place, as he thanked every friend and collaborator during his career.

Martini, who started his career in the justice system around 22 years ago and who has served as a prosecutor in the Prosecution of Series Crimes, was ranked second by the High Council of the Prosecution, to become part of the Special Prosecution Anti-Corruption (SPAK).
