Kosovo’s PM, Albin Kurti accompanied by the vice prime minister, Besnik Bislimi traveled to Brussels in order to attend their preannounced meeting the following day, with Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic.
The spokesperson of the government of Kosovo stated that “tomorrow’s meeting isn’t a meeting of the dialogue, but rather, it’s a meeting regarding the dialogue, the future dialogue”.
During this meeting, Kurti is expected to “unravel his vision and stances as well as those of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo” regarding the dialogue by emphasizing that “it should be just and principled, in the servitude of the people of both countries and it should be separate from the previous one”.
“This meeting aims to reach an accordance regarding the next chapter of the dialogue and its agenda, after the exhaustive discussion of Friday’s plenary session in Kosovo, regarding the previous dialogue and the damages it brought forth,” specified the statement published by the government of Kosovo.
On the official page of the European Union, the agenda for this meeting has been posted. Initially, Kurti and Vucic will hold separate meetings with the vice president of the European Commission, Joseph Borrell.
At 10:30 AM, Borrell will conduct bilateral meetings, initially with Kosovo’s PM, Albin Kurti and then with Serbia’s President, Alekandar Vucic. Whereas the joint roundtable has been planned for 11:00 AM.
In addition, at 12:30 PM, a press conference has been announced, that will be led by the EU’s Special Representative for the dialogue Prishtina-Belgarde and other issues of the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak.
