The Ministry of Health has published the new protocol that will need to be followed by touristic enterprises during the summer season. Unlike last year, pools will also be allowed.
The protocol also foresees two methods through which beach umbrellas and lounge chairs can be organized for tourists coming to our seas, rivers or lakes.
According to the new guidelines, the disinfection of beach beds and the hygienic service of various other accessories should be completed every day in a periodic manner during the opening hours, during which garbage bins will also be emptied.
“The surface of massage beds should be made out of recycle plastic or other materials impervious to water, which is also easier to clean, disinfect and upkeep,” stated the protocol.
Guidelines on required distances:
Until the end of the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 infection, the minimal conditions that a beach station in type A beaches should fulfill are the following:
- For beach umbrellas and lounge chairs, a distance of at least 7 meters from the coastline should be respected;

- c) Showers with unsalted water should be made available every 100 beach umbrellas, which should also be equipped with soap and hygienic gel.
The minimal conditions, which a beach in the type B beaches should meet are as follows:
- a) The space between umbrellas (from one to the other) should be at least 3 meters;
- b) Showers with unsalted water should be made available every 100 beach umbrellas, which should also be equipped with soap and hygienic gel;
