The president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, reiterated her stance regarding the dialogue with Serbia, saying that it should be concluded through reciprocal recognition by both countries and that the agreements reached up until now, should be able to influence the improvement of citizens’ life.
These were the comments given by Osmani, during a meeting conducted today with a delegation of the European Parliament, led by the rapporteur for Kosovo in the EP, Viola von Cramon.
During the meeting, the main focus was on the European perspective of the Republic of Kosovo, the support offered by the European Union, as well as the urgent need for the liberalization of visas for the citizens of Kosovo, – a process, which continues to be held back.
The head of state expressed her consideration for the positive stance that has been held by the European Parliament in terms of the visa liberalization process, while saying that there is great potential in intensifying the further cooperation and supporting EU institutions in Kosovo.
According to Osmani, the new institutions in the country are eager and willing to lead the key reforms. In this context, the President of Kosovo has called for an added presence by the EU, in order to ensure the continued progress and stability of these processes, which will in turn, strengthen the Republic of Kosovo even further.
