Lajčák: Talk on normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations is highly political, nothing technical

Meetings in Brussels between the delegation of Kosovo and high EU officials on the dialogue between Prishtina-Belgrade have begun.

Through a post shared on his social media account, following his meeting with Kosovo’s deputy PM, Besnik Bislimi, EU’s Special Envoy, Miroslav Lajcak stated that the dialogue between both countries, aiming the normalization of their relations, is a matter of politics, rather than one of technicalities.

“Everything in the talks on the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is highly political, nothing is technical,” wrote Lajcak on his Twitter post.

The Serbian delegation will be meeting with representatives of the EU, tomorrow.

After, the meeting of both teams will be conducted in Brussels, with the mediation of the EU.

In addition, the upcoming meeting between Kosovo’s PM Kurti and Serbian president Vucic, is expected to take place in the end of July.
