President Ilir Meta has commanded the adoption of the latest Resolution by the Parliament of Kosovo, regarding the condemnation of the Srebrenica genocide.

Through a status on his social media account, Meta has said that by backing up this resolution, he is “joining in the deep sorrow felt by the innocent victims and honoring their remembrance in the hopes of condemning every effort made to deny this genocide”.

“Only through strengthening our regional cooperation and our ethnic and religious cohabitation, we will consolidate peace, stability and security in the region and we will make steps forward towards our common future in the European Union,” wrote Meta.

Kosovo’s PM, Albin Kurti declared earlier today, during the plenary session in Parliament that the genocide of Srebrenica is the greatest massacre to take place in Europe, since World War II, while adding that his administration is intensifying preparations for the genocide lawsuit that will be filed against Serbia.
