For the past two days, delegations from Kosovo and Serbia have met with the EU representative charged with the responsibility to mediate the ongoing dialogue between both countries, Miroslav Lajcak, but no progress has been achieved.
Both parties threw jabs at one another, claiming that the agreements reached until now haven’t been properly executed by either side.
The Kosovo delegation led by deputy PM, Besnik Bislimi said that “the Serbian side hasn’t fulfilled the conditions set forth by the agreements,”.
On the other hand, the Serbian delegation led by the director for the Office for Kosovo at the government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, declared that during discussions, the Kosovar side has never mentioned the case of the missing persons or the formation of the Association of Communes with a Serbian majority.
The meetings between delegations of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels are planned as preliminary preparations to the upcoming high level meeting between Kosovo’s PM Albin Kurti and Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic, that is expected to take place by the end of July.
