While attending the 23rd edition of ‘Symi Symposium’ in Athens organized by the former Greek PM George Papandreou, PM Rama stated that the Socialist Party has been able to win a third mandate because of what it was able to offer its citizens.
He noted that under the rule of the socialist party, Albania has been able to make drastic changes, while also admitting that many things still need to improve.
Rama also spoke on Albania’s strategic projects, revealing that the tourism sector, energy, infrastructure and technological services are amongst the main focuses of his third term.
The head of state also pointed out the urgent need to have countries in the region cooperate in the economic aspect, in order to increase investments and create new jobs.
“We need regional vision in order to increase the capacities of our markets, and give investors that opportunity to work with much bigger spaces and so we can have much more opportunities. Government should work in the national and regional aspects, especially when it comes to strategic sectors,” argued PM Rama.
Speaking before the former PM of Greece, George Paoadreou, Rama said that Albania offers a strong base in the energetic sector.
“When it comes to energy, we have a very strong base and great potential for the future. I want to point out that we rely mainly on renewable energy and our production is based on hydric energy,” said Rama.
