The number of active COVID-19 cases across the country has reached 210, with 23 new cases reported on Wednesday.
Just a day ago, authorities logged 43 new cases, the highest figure recorded since May 14.
However, the same trend is not persistent when it comes to hospitalizations, as only 5 patients are receiving medical care at the hospital.
Albania has not registered any COVID-19 related deaths since June 26, while the virus has claimed 2,456 since the first outbreak.
The sharp rise in new infections has cast doubts over the presence of the Delta strain, but no cases have been confirmed by authorities, yet.
