Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro did not receive an invitation to participate in the Economic Forum for Regional Cooperation taking place on Thursday in Skopje.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, North Macedonia’s premier Zoran Zaev and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic were among the attendees.
Euronews Albania correspondent Benjamin Arifi reports that the so-called mini-Schengen is poised to receive a new name, most like an economic term.
The three Western Balkan leaders are expected to sign three agreements:
- Creating a common labor market
- Liberalization of the movement of goods, not an entire removal of customs, but introducing major facilitations
- Joint assistance in cases of natural catastrophe
Today’s forum will also welcome 300 representatives from different companies in the region, who will be acquainted with the latest initiatives that will be launched in the economic sector.
