The head of the Vetëvendosje Movement parliamentary group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, stated that she will not talk about the “Open Balkan” initiative with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to her, Rama has launched this initiative unilaterally with Serbia and North Macedonia. She stressed that Kosovo continues to consider it as a parallel and harmful process.
However, Kusari-Lila has stated that relations with Albania remain undisputed, despite daily policies.
“Whatever the initiatives or daily policies may be, Kosovo’s relations with Albania remained undisputed, and the most special for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. With Prime Minister Rama currently, the initiative which he unilaterally started with Serbia and North Macedonia, the conversation will continue but not on this topic and not with the states of this idea which as I said the people of Kosovo have opposed “, She said.
According to Kusari-Lila, this initiative cannot be called Open Balkan, as three of the six countries of the Western Balkans oppose it.
