A record-high number of new cases was reported in Kosovo in past 24 hours. From a total of 7424 tests, 1128 came back positive, while 3 citizens unfortunately lost their lives.
The Public Health Institute in Kosovo reported that 46 citizens were fully recovered in the past 24 hours but that the trend of recoveries still remains low compared to positive cases.
Since the beginning of the inoculation process in Kosovo, a total of 559.007 doses of the anti-COVID vaccine have been administered.
According to authorities, the number of active cases in August is concerning and it has seen a rise due to the spread of the Delta strain.
The Ministry of Health has announced that currently, there’s a total of 5.493 active cases nationwide.
