In the last 24 hours, our country has reported a total of 397 new infections due to COVID-19, which also unfortunately claimed the life of one individual earlier today in our country.
The new cases were confirmed after the results of 4.935 tests conducted nationwide came back positive.
The number of patients contracting the coronavirus in our country is on the rise, as the total number of active cases currently is 2,810, 46 of whom have been admitted to hospital and are receiving specialized treatment.
In the past 24 hours, another 39 citizens fortunately recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the outbreak in our country to 130,673.
The Ministry of Health is sharing another appeal to citizens across the entire country to vaccinate as soon as possible, in order to protect themselves, the people close to them and help keep the spread of the virus at bay.
August will be an ‘open month’ of vaccination against the coronavirus for every citizen over 18.
