Tirana, Durres and Berat are the first three destinations that the Afghan refugees will be accommodated in as they arrive in our country during this week.
Sources close to Euronews Albania confirm that the first group of political refugees will stay in the city of Berat, as other cities are preparing accommodation structures to welcome the citizens that have fled Afghanistan.
According to authorities, there is still no official timeline of their arrival.
Meanwhile, the Albanian army has raised several tents that will serve as physical and health check-up sites for the Afghan citizens arriving at Rinas.
Work is continuing as usual at the airport and there is no increase in the number of police officers on site.
