COVID-19 claimed the life of one citizen as 534 new infections were reported in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection stated that 89 patients also recovered today but at the same time, the number of active cases saw a rise as there are currently 5 573 in the entire country.

A total of 81 patients are admitted at the Infective Hospital, and are currently receiving specialised treatment.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 2,478 citizens lost their lives and the majority were reported to have had underlying health conditions.

Health authorities repeated their call toward citizens and asked them to get their vaccine as soon as possible.
