In the past 24 hours, a total of 4.063 citizens were tested, 905 of were confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 virus.

There are 8.866 active cases nationwide, as 3 citizens unfortunately lost their lives due to complications arising from the coronavirus infection.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 2.490 citizens lost their lives because of the virus.

The Ministry of Health has announced that 96 patients are currently being offered specialized treatment at Tirana’s Infective Hospital, 17 of whom are presenting more severe symptoms.

In the last 24 hours, 947 citizens were able to recover, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 132.723.

The Ministry also called on all citizens above 18 to get their shot, arguing that it is the main way to be protected against the coronavirus, followed by wearing a mask, keeping personal hygiene and avoiding large gatherings.
