Proof of vaccination or negative test required for all citizens entering Kosovo

New anti-COVID measures come into effect in Kosovo, which will be in force until September 13th.

Starting from August 30th – September 13th, every person coming into the republic of Kosovo should provide one of the following proof:

  • Certificate showing that they are fully vaccination or have received one of the doses against COVID-19
  • Negative RT-PCR test, taken no longer than 72 hours before travel date
  • Proof that you’ve recovered from COVID-19.
  • Negative rapid antigen test, taken no longer than 48 hours before travel.

The ones that are exempted from these rules are:

  • Persons coming into Kosovo through an airport or through land border check-points and leave Kosovo within 3 hours, under the condition that upon their entry, they sign a declaration saying that they will be leaving Kosovo within 3 hours.
  • Person, who work in the transport industry, under the condition that they respect their international protocol regarding protection against COVID-19.
  • Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that have left the country in the last 12 hours.
  • Foreign nationals, who are passing through Kosovo by means of organized transportation, buses or a regular international line, under the condition that they sign a declaration saying that they will be leaving Kosovar territory within 5 hours.
  • Foreign diplomats accredited in Kosovo.
  • Persons under the age of 18.

The epidemiologic situation in Kosovo is highly unstable.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Health reported a death toll of 36 citizens, losing their lives in the last 24 hours and 1.630 others having contracted the virus within the same timeframe.
