4 citizens lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Albania and 853 others contracted the virus.
The daily notice published by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection also pointed out that the number of admissions at the Infective Hospital of QSUT has seen a significant rise.
There are currently 10.915 active cases nationwide. 103 patients have been admitted to hospital, 16 of whom are exhibiting severe symptoms.
At the same time, 526 citizens have successfully recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 134.802.
The death toll in Albania has reached 2.505 – the majority of patients dying from the virus were reported to have had other underlying health conditions.
