On Friday, 895 citizens were diagnosed as positive to COVID-19, after testing 5,900 suspected samples.
The highest figure was recorded in Tirana (275 cases), followed by Shkodra (74), Durres (60), and Kavaja (37).
Currently, there are an estimated 11,288 active patients across the country.
Meanwhile, there are 114 patients receiving specialized medical care at the hospital, of which 19 are in a more serious condition.
The official death toll has reached 2,508 after three more people died on Friday.
The Ministry of Health is urging citizens to get the COVID-19 jab in order to reduce the chances of contracting the virus as well as avoid getting severely sick.
