From Sunday, September 5, Albania will be enlisted as a high-risk COVID-19 country amid a steep rise in new infections recorded in the past weeks.
Albanian citizens will need to present a certificate proving recovery from COVID-19 or be fully vaccinated, as listed by a new list of measures published by the German Embassy in Tirana.
In absence of the two, citizens will be required to take a COVID-19 test in order to enter the country.
Upon arrival, Albanian citizens have to quarantine for 10 days. After five days a second test is required, and if it comes back as negative, quarantine is no longer needed.
