Elected lawmaker Petrit Vasili did not provide a straightforward answer to the question of anchor Esmeralda Mulaj on the establishment of the parliamentary group but stressed that there is no time to lose with parliament bureaucracies.

“The only scope of the Albanian parliament is to expose at the podium the great truths that have been hidden”, said Vasili, adding all means available will be used by the opposition, including here protests.

He emphasized that the ‘electoral massacre’ must be probed into immediately and that without shedding light there can be no other agreement with the ruling majority over constitutional amendments.

He also spoke about the resignation of Luan Rama, a senior member of the Socialist Movement for Integration, saying “I am aware of his resignation and I have nothing to add nor take away from what he has already argued”.

Asked if he would give any advice to former PM Sali Berisha after he was publicly designated by the State Department, Vasili said that his experience and longtime actor in the political scene will serve to maintain “a right and coherent approach that suit the statute that he has”.
