The dialogue between Serbia-Kosovo is set to resume tomorrow through consecutive 2-day meetings that will revolve around the technicalities of the normalization process.
The news was confirmed for Euronews Albania by the lead Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy at the European Union, Peter Stano.
“We can confirm that the next meeting of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue on the level of Chief negotiators will take place on 7th and 8th September. The two parties are expected to discuss current issues and next steps in the Dialogue,” said Stano on his response to Euronews Albania.
Stano also added that when it comes to the next step being, the high-level dialogue between representatives of both countries, there will be an announcement in the near future, regarding when such dialogue will be taking place.
Kosovo’s delegation on the dialogue with Serbia is led by the deputy PM, Besnik Bislimi.
Earlier, the news agency KosovaPress has reported that during the discussions that will be taking place in the next couple of days, representatives from Prishtina will be presenting their stance and demands regarding the issue of the missing persons, the energy agreement and vehicle registration plates.
Over the months of June and July, the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic held meetings that revolved around the progression of the process of normalization between both countries – a process that is being mediated by the EU.
Kurti and Vucic have expressed opposing views, when it comes to the issues of the associations of Serb majority communes in Kosovo, the missing persons and the ultimate mutual recognition and independence.
