Former MP of the Democratic Party, Albana Vokshi, spoke about the demolition of the National Theater. In an interview for Euronews Albania, Ms. Vokshi said that this act was done to steal public property and for financial gain.

She emphasized that the State Police has exercised violence on citizens, former DP deputies, journalists and civil society activists.

“…Edi Rama is a coward and a thief, who does not have the courage to act during the day, but leads in the middle of the night with thousands of armed police forces and machine guns, who have exercised violence on women, girls, DP deputies, my colleagues, analysts, journalists and every citizen who was present by dragging them along the streets. Edi Rama did all this to steal the public property and build towers to benefit millions of moneys.”, she said.

The former DP deputy said she was shocked by the demolition of the theater as she shed tears during the live interview.

“I have many memories, I was born and raised in Tirana. I often went to the Theater. I also went there with my children. We have plenty of memories. It was a precious Albanian art heritage. I feel pain, but I am sure that this is the end of Edi Rama”, Vokshi emphasized.
