The majority of Albanian citizens agree with the decision made by the United States to declare Albania’s former prime minister, Sali Berisha, persona non-grata.
Euronews Albania’s poll found that 57% of respondents ‘strongly’ or ‘somewhat’ agree with the decision of the US department of state. 21.2% are unsure whereas 19.4% strongly disagree with it.
The support for this decision is also large amongst citizens, who chose not to vote in the last elections on April 25th. This poll also found that 48.8% of respondent that may be considered as ‘gray electorate’ agreed with Berisha’s non-grata designation.
Needless to say, amongst Socialist voters, the support for this decision is practically maximal, (88%) whereas amongst Democratic voters, there’s a split – 45.2% don’t support is, 18.8% do, whereas 34.8% are unsure.

Methodology:
Euronews Albania’s poll included 1 000 interviews (49.5% men, 50.5% women ages over 18) that were conducted nationwide from August 10 – 28.
