The Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Kosovo aren’t providing any information in regards to the active cases in the country’s 12 Serb-majority communes, that are predominantly led by Serbian officials.

It is still unclear whether or not this could be a technical mistake or if the communes are simply not responding the requests made by MSH and the IKSHPK.

KosovaPress reports that in the last notice published by Kosovo health authorities, the number of infections in Zvecan, Zubim Potok, Ranillug, Partesh, Novoberde, North Mitrovica, Mamushe, Leposaviç, Kllokot, Junik, Shterpce and Graçanice are missing.

Meanwhile, the commune with the highest number of active cases is Prishtina, where there are currently at least 4 045 citizens infected with COVID-19.

The most recent report also states that 9 634 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, which confirmed that 583 of them had been infected with the virus.

In the last 24 hours, Kosovo suffered 14 fatalities due to complications from the coronavirus.
