The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 is rising rapidly in Albania, with 17 victims reported over the past 24 hours.
Authorities conducted over 3,930 tests, while 680 tested positive for the virus.
Albania had not seen such a high mortality figure since March 16.
The number of recoveries stands at 156,674 after 996 recovered in the last day.
A rising trend has also been seen in active cases across the country, estimated at more than 10,100.
There are 155 patients hospitalized in the COVID dedicated hospitals, of which 21 are in a more serious condition.
The number of confirmed deaths from the virus has reached 2,685, according to a tally kept by national health authorities.
