The Democratic Party will deposit on Thursday to the Assembly a request for the establishment of an inquiry commission, tasked to investigate any irregularities committed during the general elections held in April.
The leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha said to have outlined three key issues around which the opposition will focus.
He said that DP’s battle in parliament will concentrate on what the Democrats have long been calling “an electoral massacre”, amid voter fraud allegations.
“The primary thing for this inquiry commission will be the pilferage of private and personal data, the misuse of assets and public functions, abuses with post-earthquake reconstruction funds for electoral purposes, abuses with land legalizations in exchange for a vote”, said Basha.
