Over 90% of teachers and other school personnel in Kosovo have been vaccinated. The news was confirmed by the deputy minister of education, science, technology and innovation, Edona Maloku-Berdyna during a press conference about the continuation of the new academic year in Kosovo.
In addition, the government official said that 39 schools are organizing classes through the return-to-school scenario, and 22 have separated them into groups.
The deputy minister also touched on the preparations that are underway for the local elections that are set to take place in Kosovo on October 17, adding that everything is being taken into consideration including anti-COVID measures, to make sure that everything goes as planned.
Maloku-Berdyna made an appeal to all students and teachers to fully respect the measures that are in place.
“In order for us to continue with the current scenario, I call on all students and teachers to respect all anti-COVID measures that are in place,” – said the deputy minister of education.
