The Ministry of Health of Kosovo announced that it will begin administering a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine shot by next year.

Health experts agreed that now is not the right time for booster doses, as at least 6 months need to pass after the second shot.

The National Institute of Public Health recommended offering the booster to groups that are considered more vulnerable.

According to official figures, over 541,430 citizens are fully jabbed in the country of some 2.8 million.

Starting from Monday, North Macedonia will start offering booster doses to citizens older than 65.
