The US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim, visited the area where a new hydropower plant will be built.
The Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the presence of a major American company and vowed to increase investments in the north.

Ambassador Kim reiterated the priorities that the United States has in Albania, including democracy, security, and businesses, highlighting that all three have seen improvement.
Alongside the US Ambassador was Infrastructure Minister Belinda Balluku, who noted that the hydropower plant project contributes to the transformation of Albania into a net energy exporter.
“The Skavica hydropower plant, the fourth and missing part of the Drini cascade for 50 years, which increases energetic security, boosts production capacity and protects from floods, contributes significantly towards Albania’s transformation into a net energy exporter”, said the minister.
