Two heads of the Kosovo Liberation Army veteran association pleaded innocence as their trial opened at The Hague.
“I am completely innocent”, said Hysni Gucati, the chairman of the KLA Veteran Association.
Meanwhile, Nasim Haridanaj, who held the second post in the association stated “I cannot even understand the indictment, but I heard what you read. I am innocent”.
The indictment against the two war veterans was made public on 14 December 2020.
Both are standing trial on several charges, including obstruction of justice, witness intimidation, retaliation, and violating the secrecy of proceedings.
The process is expected to conclude on 17 December 2021.
